Hi Peter
Sorry, me gain. So, it’s getting nasty. I had to edit a multi cam project. Source was ProRes video. The source videos all had nice waveforms but not the multi cam timeline. Deleting cash file didn’t help, changing workstations didn’t help. Nothing changed my empty audio track. After 1h trying I gave up and started inFCP X.
Peter, I really want to use Pr. All the new features are nice. But to have audio waveforms is “bread and butter”, it’s essential.Michael
update:
I started today this project with CC (Pr7.2.2). I setup the multi cam and all the waveform are perfect. Did some cuts. Then, I opened this project in the new Pr CC 2014. So, now all the waveforms are visible. But, do I have confidence, that the waveforms are still there when I open the project over one week of work and several cut and versions? No. -
Hi Peter
None of the scenarios applied in our case. The Audio is restored but not the waveforms.
We will start now to transcode to ProRes or CineForm prior to editing. So we can use the new version.
Still hope you get it fixed some day. Thanks

Hello Peter
I made a test today with the new release of CC. Ingest P2 Footage with Prelude and the bug is not solved. Still no audio sound after some time.
So, what should we do? P2 is our format we produce with. I really don’t understand this issue. It worked fine till the CC 2014 versions come up.
Any help?
Frustated Michael

Hello Peter, Hello Walter, Hello Kevin
Thanks a lot for the replies!!! We are very happy and appreciate it a lot that Adobe is responding so fast on a bug. Even if this bug concerns just a small group of customers.
@Kevin
Thanks for the link. I will post another bug with Media Encoder and Dynamic Linking next week there. It”s not critical. But I don”t think it is a problem on our side, too. I never found a hint for bug reporting. Is it well hidden or is it so prominent that I missed it through the daily editing madness?@Peter
We will go on with the CC 2013 for editing. But we really like the new version and all the new features. Hopefully you can fix this soon. I think for some projects I will rewrap the mxf to mov and use these files for editing with CC 2014 because I like it much more.
I will ask our camera people which P2 cameras were used. We have several still in use and this will take some time. Maybe end of next week I can tell. Maybe all is related to one camera. I don”t know yet.@Walter
Thanks for your contribution to this forum in general. I always like to read your comments and your blogs.
Yes, P2 is now rare. But we have these cameras and they still do their work. And we are in a corporate business and for a lot of meeting stuff they are still ok.@Adobe
We came from FCP Legacy and even we liked, and like FCP X, we decided to go with CC, I think 3 years ago. The reason was the integration with all other Adobe apps and the lack of FCP X editors and the fear that some old fart editors would have problems to adapt 🙂
Overall we are very!!! happy with the kind CC evolved. The tools are great and Adobe is going to develop these application further in a good way. That”s my feeling.
But, one big request. We and our freelance editors are running in total 7 CC subscriptions here in Germany and Switzerland. First, these subscriptions are more expensive than in the US. Why? Adobe is here unique in a bad sense. Adobe should think about their price model. It is not fair. And, like for photographers, offer a unique video editing and compositing bundle. This would really make CC a perfect choice.Have a good weekend.

I placed a comment about this problem on the premiere adobe blog. What happened? They deleted my comment. I was not ranting, just telling that some of us have a serious problem with this CC 2014 update.
I am very disappointed.

I have no solution. The funny ??? thing is, yesterday I imported P2 footage, which I have problems with before at the same workstation again in a new project and all was fine. So, not a constant bug……
There are updates today for Pr, AME and Prelude. Maybe it was getting fixed.Michael

Nobody else out there with this problem? We are working day by day for a big company and have this problem on 4 different systems and on some freelancer macs. P2 is ingested with ShootPut Pro to our centralized server or via prelude onsite.
Up to CC 2014 we never had so much trouble with a CC version. Sometimes AME is not starting or we have kernel freezes. I really like the new version, but it seems not as reliable like the CC 2013.Michael

Hi Kevin
I would like to know, why adobe is throwing out their own flash format?
Why not just leaving the encoding option in AME? Is flash, Adobes own format, breaking the CC2014 AME?
Not that I am missing this format. But now I have to keep the old AME for occasionnaly flv encoding.Michael
