yes i did copy the tracks to a new sequence and put them on tracks 1-24. still no luck.

it must be some corrupt file. there was an mp3 or two but those tracks were being written. haha. some bug i guess???

thanks Michael. I did in fact break up the tracks further but still no luck.

I was able to solve the problem by adding files to the head of the timeline. Many of these tracks did not contain content until later in the show. So as long as those clips are deleted in the sound edit they should have all the media.

Also…i could not simply have the same media….as in a two pop etc…each track had to contain distinct media clip at the head in order to write.

Excellent! Thanks for the advice. I’ll look into getting the eSATA card.

A small observation. On the timeline with the 5 video tracks: Only one track does not like playing over the others.

tracks 2-5 have no problem playing back with each other all stretched out (C). however there is one file that stops play back and needs to be alone on the timeline (B).

Any idea why this is? Does it have to do with that specific file? This is completely workable, just kinda thirsty to understand why it is happening hahaha. Hope my diagram helps understand what i’m talking about.

You are all correct! I am mistaken. When i look under the Log and Transfer preferences i see P2 plugin and under the transcode it reads Apple Pro Res. however, in the browser all the clips say DVCPRO HD under the compressor column.

I would love to get a screen shot up here but the producer will not let me. I will try and convince them today.

can’t seem to get the p2store to work with the formatter. is there a way to do the raylight workflow without renaming my cards?

i think i might go back log and transfer since i need to create two drives that are identical. i need to work with one and the director needs to have the other. we are going to pass the project file back and forth. would like to pay for raylight only once. is this possible?

does the raylight workflow work with both color and after effects?
