Sounds like interlacing field order is wrong, which you probably won’t notice until you watch it on a TV from a DVD player.
Why do you think it is from the filters? What filters did you use and more importantly what field dominance settings were the footage, the sequence and the DVD settings.

There are numerous possibilities including the deck being set to downconvert to DV on output.
Firstly you need to make sure the camera/deck is properly set. I recall that this was always tricky with the canon cameras and 5.1.4 .
I question though installing an old version of FCP on Snow Leopard. To me that is asking for trouble particularly as you are mixing old software with new quicktime. If you updated FCP as well then I am sure you will have no trouble.

FCP version 6.0.6 is not designed to work with QT10 as far as I know. QT10 is for Snow Leopard/ FCP7 only I think.

Do you have a reference signal to both deck & card?

Vegas can export an AAF and Automatic Duck can import AAF’s into FCP.
Automatic Duck is not free but excellent at transferring. Not sure why XML’s are not compatible.

It might help if you told us what the daily issues are. I have used my Decklink HD Pro happily for the past five years. That said, I am tossing up with a switch to Kona3 as a replacement in my new mac pro which is being shipped as we speak.
I have no complaint about the Decklink but the up/ cross/ down conversion in the Kona is the selling point for me plus the often touted tech support. However, I intend to run the Decklink in the new machine for till the end of the year.

Rafael, It is possible to use a 25 fps workflow for film out. In the end it is a frame for frame process. You work with PAL all the time so there is no learning curve, sound post is uncomplicated and all that needs to be done is the final sound track needs a pitch alteration to compensate for 24 frame projection. Avoiding 24 versus 23.976 is advisable.
Unfortunately sound on 16mm is awful. Mono optical and really poor quality. Finding a facility to scan to film is important though to find out the file formats they want. You might want to consider sending the job to Australia. I have contacts in Sydney who do this sort of work and understand a 25 fps workflow. Let me know if you want contact details and also if you want the audio pitch corrected which I can do.

Weird one. So when you render it changes the shot speed. As a test, open a new sequence. Drag one shot which is doing this to the new sequence. Does FCP prompt to say it will change the sequence settings to match the clip? If so then note the settings and compare them to you existing sequence.
I can only think there is something wrong with sequence settings. If they are different, try to copy paste your timeline into the new sequence and see if the behaviour continues. What sort of plugin are you using that makes this happen?
