thing is I work on a laptop mainly a 2.16 core duo…maybe I should upgrade to a core 2 duo…Would make a big difference yeah?
Also does compressor 3 show significant encoding speeds over the last version?

yeah I have checked it out and looks promising…
except for the limited output presets, which dont seem
to have a setting for any real video profiles PAL or NTSC…I need 720X576 or 1024X576 …? any other ideas…?

Are you saying that I can record 25p DV on my HVX and then
edit in a 30p sequence….what about capturing?Thanks for your help

It actually doesnt have 2pass VBR…
I have just purchased Popwires WMV component
and am disapointed with the lack of options..I am using the DVD DL setting because I need the best quality
possible but find that motion is a problem.I am working with sports footage with fast motion
and cant seem to get the settings right or find any
help on their website…Will the keyframe settings help my cause?
Any ideas?

All I need is WMV encoding out of FCP on Intel MAC,
Supposedly popwire can does this fro a great price
but is the quality good? does it do 2 pass VBR? -
so basically their is no solution to WMV encoding on the
intel mac platform? -
How can I get my hands on it…?

I have tried all these ideas but still have the prob.,
I have seen these horizontal lines before and
they seem typical of a QT prob or something.Any ideas?
