    Hi Mike

    Thanks for the quick response!

The event velocity envelope seems to only be for video, yes? How can I speed up audio and video progressively in sync?

    Thanks Mike!

  • Thanks John

It would be great if there were a more comprehensive set of themes, animated backgrounds, buttons etc with DVDA. Compared to many other disc authoring programs, I think DVDA is sadly lacking.

    Thanks for you help!

  • Thanks John and Mike

I see the blue outline- it would be nice to have an indicator of some sort without highlighting to show which events are grouped with which- I get confused and end up copying and pasting multiple events between projects, having forgotten they were grouped.

    Thanks again for your assistance!

    Hi Steve

I tried reinstalling the Windows Installer, only to be stymied by “Not enough storage available to process this command”. I have plenty of storage available on all drives, so I’m a bit puzzled.

    Thanks for your reply Mike

What I want is the marker “names” to be displayed in the title menu or root menu of a DVD player when the disc is played. I would have thought these names (as typed into the marker box when a marker is created) would carry through to the DVD when burnt, but maybe I’m expecting too much.

Do I need to recreate the markers in DVDA (or not create them at all until DVDA) to get the chapter names to appear?

    Hi John

I am using Vegas Pro 8.0c build 260 and DVDA Pro 5.0b build 180.

When rendering I am using separate MPEG 2 and AC3 renders, with only the “Save Project Markers in Media File” box ticked within the “Render As” menu.

Yet on the final DVD, chapters are only displaying as “Chapter 1”, “Chapter 2” and so on, not with the names I have used in Vegas.

Let me know if you need further info.

May 23, 2009 at 7:20 pm in reply to: Trimmer hangs in Vegas Pro 9 64bit on Vista

I have also had major problems in 8.1 using the trimmer. My m2t files caused Vegas to crash approximately every 5 minutes when loaded into the trimmer- apart from this, I haven’t encountered many bugs in 8.1 otherwise (although I’ve only had it a month).

The question might then be, why use the trimmer?- but the workflow demanded that I insert small pieces of footage into a long timeline, for which the only realistic solution was cutting in the trimmer.

I will be upgrading to 9 (as I purchased 8.1 within a month of 9’s release) so I’ll be interested to see if the problem persists.
