    Hi Nicholas,

With the “spline to position track” , cameras just move along the spline. What I’m trying to achieve thru “keyframing cameras” is to allow cameras pause, spin and make manourvres that aren’t tied to a spline path.

How do i sort out the ‘interpolation/f-curves’?

My problem (i think) is this: what comes first? Do i first move slide bar to in time frame, then position my camera, and thereafter click f9 to keyframe? Which is what i’ve been doing but nothing is happening.

    Hello and,

Phew! Finally got it sorted. In the object manager, i did View>Goto Main level and my listings came back. Many many thanks for the support.

What i basically need is to see my objects listed in the currently blank object manager as they appear in the timeline window.

    Hello,

Please bear with me. Can you be a bit more explicit regarding how to, according to your comment, ‘select any layout’?

    Hello,

I’ve done that and the object manager is back in place but it’s still appears blank, not showing the typical listing of all my objects, as they would appear, for example, in the timeline.

Thanks so much for that solution.

While awaiting your response, the most horrific thing has however just happened. I merged a frame 1400-1600 water fountain c4d file containing emitters (just 900kb in size) into my multiple camera animation file. A ‘not enough memory’ msg came up, and i was subsequently unable to save.

Since i had saved the parent file over the past few weeks of work, i proceeded to exit without saving. To my shock and horror, as i attempted reopening my parent file, it was gone. Is there a way of retrieving a lost file from a back up system in c4d?

    Hi,

This is precisely my present headache too, and i’ve followed this same procedure. The various cameras i’ve keyed into my stage scene in c4d9.5 only show as they are being keyed in. The moment i move the time bar in reverse or commence rendering, only one camera shows all thru the animation. I’m so sure i’m missing some ‘key stage’. Please sort me out.
