How to restore c4d Object Manager

Just select any layout (even the one you were using) with the top leftside button or in the Window/Layout menu

I’ve done that and the object manager is back in place but it’s still appears blank, not showing the typical listing of all my objects, as they would appear, for example, in the timeline.

Perhaps you clicked “new Project” and you have a blank object manager
if so look under the window menu to see if any pre existing project is open already. Just a thought

What i basically need is to see my objects listed in the currently blank object manager as they appear in the timeline window.

It sound like you may have turned on filters for the Object Manager. Click the eye icon at the top-right of the OM and make sure that eye icons inside are all turned on.

Phew! Finally got it sorted. In the object manager, i did View>Goto Main level and my listings came back. Many many thanks for the support.

I hit something in the view section in the Object Manager and now no objects show up. I’ve tried changing all the different view settings and everything I can think of to restore the Object Manager. I have an empty object manager. Even in I make a simple cube it doesn’t show up in the Object Manager. I need some help!

Check that you haven’t searched for something that gave no results and then hidden the Search Bar.

I just did this and was struggling to figure out why I couldn’t see anything in my Object Manager.

Note: This stays with the saved file, so saving and restarting did not help.
