I had a similar issue today. AE and Premiere current versions (as of today, 20200727) and working on iMac with high sierra). I exported a thought bubble comp (where the bubble’s opacity fades to 0)Â with alpha from AE and brought into premiere. once i exported from premiere and the alpha channel was turquoise just like yours when the fade out happened. I tried animation codec first, then prores 4444. When i first imported 4444 into sequence it looked perfect. but blue was back in export and never went away after I closed and reopened premiere. Even if i deleted the file from project and reimported it.Â
so weird. anyone know what’s going on? there were no effects on this comp. just opacity keyframes.

so just to be clear, sourceRectAtTime().height will return the exact height of letters present (e.g., it will be smaller if there is no “g” on the last line versus if there is a “g”). Right?
Then if I add padding, it’ll have to be dependent on if there are descenders or not, which is what’s creating so many problems for me, I think. :-\ Is there any good way to deal with this?
For example:
In CSS, the sentence “Image stabilization during video capture is not foolproof. Welcome to Donleland.”
will have a bounding box that is the same as if it said ” Image stabilization during video capture is not foolproof. Welcome to Dongleland.”
But in AE, my box and thus my padding will change. It seems like I just have to have different templates for whether there’s a descender in last line or not, which seems silly. Am I missing something?

So, the comp is in Zeplin, not PS actually. It’s 318.2pt x 568pt. And I’m working on a 1080×1920 comp in AE.
Not math afraid (have a masters in it); however, it seems so wonky. I tried converting based on the 72dpi, still way too small. I think it’s actually a Zeplin setting issue (https://zeplin.io/support#units) that was done incorrectly on their end. They had it as ios with density 1x.

August 22, 2016 at 11:13 pm in reply to: Upgrading macbook pro 8 (2011 model) or better to invest in new model? Thanks! One more question:
What about editing off internal drive, rather than having media on external drive? I have been told that it’s better to keep application and media separate, but … if I had the space on the drive, would it work well in this scenario?

What I’m trying to understand is the amount of different in performance…HOW much better would it be with dedicated ports versus with a dock. Meaning, do you think it is or is not worth it to upgrade? It’s going to cost a lot more to replace computer. Do I NEED the dedicated ports or is this workaround good enough (knowing that’s a subjective question, i’m wanting to know your opinion).

yes. a couple of times. and unchecked the use file name box in preferences (not sure if that matters — tried both with and without)… also updated app (to what i mentioned). and restarted several times. even when i have that option selected and default checked, AND it says the write name…it still creates a folder and outputs there.
