    Would so appreciate some help!

using: Mac OS X 10.7.5; macbook pro early 2011

My macbook pro USER password is not being accepted.

I have not used my macbook pro pw for a while, but I use the same 2 passwords for almost everything. And my hint matches one of those pw’s. Regardless, when I try to reset it using apple ID, it’s also saying that pw is incorrect. But it’s 100% correct. I double checked by signing into itunes store on two devices. So, my macbook is denying access despite me using the correct pw. It’s driving me CRAZY.

Can anyone offer help or any explanation??

    Thanks!

Do you have the CAPS LOCK on? This gets me every time. 😉

I wish! Alas, no. I even typed it elsewhere to make sure it was right and copy pasted. :-\

Do you have another keyboard? Try using a USB keyboard to rule out that one of the keys might have gone bad or gotten stuck.

Don’t you hate the fact that systems won’t show you the password as you are typing. It’s the most ridiculous thing. Every system should have a checkbox to show the password as you type to make sure that you are typing what you think you are typing.
