Did you find a solve for this issue? I’m having the same problem and can’t believe FCP would have eliminated this feature.

Of course, Craig!

After Rafael told me where to find the Final Cut Pro Additional Easy Setups folder (in Applications), the question was where to put the EX files. The answer I found was ~Macintosh HD/Application Support/Final Cut Pro System Support/Custom Settings. Just copy the Easy Setup files you want into there and they show up in FCP.

Hey all …

So I’ve tried just about everything suggested. Trashing receipts, reinstalling FCP, and reinstalling all the XDCAM products I could find (SxS driver, Log and Capture plugin, XDCAM transfer, browser, etc.). And still no EX formats in my setup. Any more ideas? Do you think the next step is going to see a genius?

thanks for the help, guys. and i’ve tried the custom setup but i still get extra rendering time when it says “conforming mpeg-2 format.” any other ideas? i’m fearing a re-install may be in my future …

Yeh, that’s what I thought. The computer doesn’t seem to recognize the camera, though. Any tips for getting the cpu to mount the cam???

I set the camera to SP 1080/24P. Where do you find the setting to switch the camera to HDV?
