  • Speed > Duration (Ripple Edit Multiple Clips):: Update got rid of this feature?

I’m working on a project with hundreds of clips and I need to make them all four seconds.

I’m using the latest version of final cut pro.

I used to be able to just select all the clips, open up the speed window, and set duration to 00:04:00 and it would make all the clips four seconds long. Then I would just select all clips, hit Z, and remove the speed attribute to make them all regular speed again.

Recently I installed the latest Apple Pro Applications Update (Pro Applications Update 2010-02)
and it seems as though I can no longer change the duration of any clips on the time line via this method.

Did they seriously get rid of this feature or is my program bugging out?

Is there another way to do what I’m trying to do?

TL/DR: Before the edit I was able to ripple edit multiple clips at once with the Duration option within the Speed window. Now I can only edit one clip at a time. Solutions? Alternative methods?

    Hi Andrey!

Did you find a solve for this issue? I’m having the same problem and can’t believe FCP would have eliminated this feature.

    Thanks,

    Max
