I looked at you video again. It seems those letters are 3d. With a little rotation on them.

Look up either 3D text in AE – with text animator.

Or (my guess) C4D, MoText with Plain Effector. In there you have more Depth of Field controls (camera).

    Hope it helps.

    There is no camera depth.

Its just letters position change + blurring in + fade in, letter by letter.

You can do that with text animator. Range selector.

Plenty of tuts on youtut: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NZRxoISMBBY

    Enjoy 🙂

    A couple of things that kinda worked for me and some insights;

    1. Remove the pen nib, clean the hole of the pen nib.
Dirt at the other end can cause stickiness as you press the nib onto the tablet.

    2. Snapping in applications. Point snapping, guides, grids, makes your pen jumpy.

    3. Slow machine. Lack of processing power.
Usually happens with OS updates. Remember significant updates are made for the new machines.

  • The person you sent the file to couldn’t get it to work or? Basically why does it matter?
Make sure both your systems are (equally) up to date.

Thank you for looking at this for me Kevin.
    – The first wiggle expression with the write on effect is close just a bit simple. EDIT: its quite neat, though the write on effect is a limited, if i increase the number of 500px it becomes dots even with the brush spaces at lowest.

    – The second expression in with the first expression on Null 1, combined with particular got me nowhere. AE claim bad syntax in the Z position, even without the position. Got nothing out of the ordinary just the basic particular emitter doing what you’d expect on first application.

    What did I miss? Thanks

While mid-air cut the frames generated by Newton. Animate the wire from that last frame in mid-air, and get it to land on that specific place? :/

  • Yes you can use the text animator as well, and personally I find that cumbersome. Sometimes manual is the way to go 🙂
    Enjoy.

Interesting! It was close, but no cigar. Had to modify the end path a little, this way takes me about the same amount of time to draw it manually. :/

  • is it just one line of text? or are you looking to repeat the same effect for more texts?

If it’s just one text, you can convert them into path (select text>layer>create shapes from text).
now you can animate the size and position of each letter.
