It shows up in a standard 8bit NTSC timeline and in my DVCPROHD 720p timeline….as well as quicktime player and After Effects.

I have the AJA converting to 525i 29.97 to letterbox. By great looking I meant the down convert was clean (besides the interlacing issue)

DONT do it. I made this mistake a while back and my Pro Res stuff will not play back properly for some reason- video was jumpy. I ended up having to convert all the stuff to 10-bit uncompressed. I suggest using DVCPRO/HD for now until Apple gets this codec in working order.
-BTW every tech I talked to couldnt figure out my problem.Since I rented the deck, it was impossible for me to recapture into another codec, and I was stuck.

Have the latest drivers…everything else with my FCP works just fine. I have a call in to AJA.
Anything else I can try in the mean time?

I have the proper easy set up, and I am using a Kona LHe for video out. My Mac Pro is being served by a Facilis 8xs through fibre cable…it is only this codec in FCP that is giving me this issue. When I transcode it to uncompressed, it will play back fine.
Any thoughts?

I just went to export a 10 second self contained quicktime for you guys and it doesn’t do it in quicktime player…yet the same exact clip wont play back correctly in FCP….
any ideas?
