There is a nasty flicker/banding in two Getty images shots that I purchased. One is a pan and one is static. I have been doing some searching on the COW and found some answers in pulldown, etc. Flicker filter does not work, and de-interlacing does nothing to help.

I even opened the clip in after effects and tried a number of things. I have noticed this problem with DVCPRO50 footage as well, it seems more frequent with hi-res SD footage.

This is somewhat urgent…What can I do??

What timeline are you working and what size is the footage?

It shows up in a standard 8bit NTSC timeline and in my DVCPROHD 720p timeline….as well as quicktime player and After Effects.

So it seems that the compression is a little much on your footage.

Can you call and get a less compressed version?
