Please email me offline. I have a fix for you. We’ll integrate it into the next release.

Hi Brian.
Thanks for the movie.
I’m wondering if you have a lot swatches getting loaded,
or if there’s a bug when loading your swatches.
Try this:
1. Go to: ~/Documents/Zaxwerks
2. Find the folder named “3D Invigorator PRO AE 5”
3. Move it to a different location (that is, back it up)
4. Restart AE and try applying the Invig again. This will cause the swatches that shipped with the Invigorator to be loaded.
They shouldn’t take as long as your movie was showing.Let’s see if that improved the situation.

I spoke to Ed here at Zaxwerks and he explained
the problem. We’re working on a fix.I’ll let you know when we have a test version for you.

Can you further explain “PA 5.05 plug ins camera to track the AE comp camera when that selection is made in the PA GUI?”
Can you provide a few steps to follow and tell me what you’d expect them to do? We may have missed something.
Thanks.

Hi Joe.
Would you be able to send us the project file?
(just the .aep file – no media files)I’m not sure if there’s a crash opening the project
file or if there was a problem with the installation. Can you open other Invigorator projects?
Or add a new Invigorator to a 2D Solid in After Effects?Send files to: matt@zaxwerks.com
Thanks.

Would you be able to send me a .aep project (just the .aep file – no media files necessary)
that can be used to demonstrate the crash?Send files to: matt@zaxwerks.com
Thanks.

Hi Brian.
When you click on the “Options” button, try holding down the Control key as well.
This will reset a few parameters and may get you up and running. There may be a parameter value causing some funky reaction.
Let us know if this works for you.

Hi Peter.
When going from the Invigorator window back to After Effects,
we don’t automatically copy camera and light information
(there can be some unwanted side effects if we do this). Therefore, if you want to use the lights (and light settings)
that you set up in our Invigorator main UI (the Set-Up window),
you must click the “Update Lights” button. It’s the icon near the right side that looks like a light.
More info here:
https://zaxwerks.com/online_docs/3D_Invigorator_AE/5.0/a_effectPanel.htmlAs Ed said, make sure you have the “Use Comp Lights” checkbox in the ECW off.
Let us know if you have any additional questions.

Hi Brian.
Can you provide more information? What steps should we follow to see what you’re seeing?
Can you clarify what you mean by “use AE lights in renders?”Also, which version of AE are you using?
If you can send a sample .aep project (no media files, just the .aep project), send files to:
matt@zaxwerks.comThanks.

Hi Larry.
Sorry to hear about your frustrations.
The first suggestion I’d make is to break your renders into a few segments and then
edit them back together once each has finished rendering. This would at least let
you make forward progress if, say, the third segment didn’t finish rendering.Offhand, I’d say that you may be running out of memory over time.
AE likes to control all available memory (unless you change the AE prefs).
And they request plug-ins only get memory from them. While we have
accommodated this request for the most part, there are still instances
where we allocate memory for ourselves without using AE’s memory mechanism
(this is due to a few technical and historical reasons). For a long render, we’ve found that our plug-ins can eventually have a conflict
with AE and available memory. We’ve suggested users like you render in segments
and then stitch the segments back together as a post-process.If you’d like to send me your project, I’d be happy to take a look to see if there’s
a hidden bug.Send files to: matt@zaxwerks.com
