    Hi Brandon.

To distribute letters in an arc (easily), you’ll want to use ProAnimator 4.0 (coming soon).

If you use the Invigorator in After Effects, you’ll have to distribute the letters by hand
(or put each letter in an individual Set and use some fancy AE scripting).

    Hi Biggie.

We currently don’t support .max files.

See if you can convert it to a format that we handle.

    Hi zmroukhd.

Are you using Invigorator Pro v3.0.2?

Are you running OS X? Windows XP? Which version?

    Thanks.

    Hi Danny.

While the Invigorator can import many 3D model types, its strengths lie in the processing of text and logos, not large 3D models.

Having said that, I’d be interested in taking a look at the model you’re importing (if possible) so that I can offer a few optimization suggestions.

If it’s possible to send it to me, send it to: matt@zaxwerks.com

I’ll be look at it for tech support purposes only.

I wouldn’t think that your graphics cards is the issue with an extra large model.

    Hi StormDave.

Please email me (matt@zaxwerks.com). I’d like to send you a pre-release version of v4.0.6
that contains a fix for your dual-monitor problem.

    Thanks.

    Hi StormDave.

It seems that we have a bug in the Hi-Quality GL renderer when we can’t do it offscreen.
When using multiple monitors, the graphics card can’t do our rendering offscreen, so we default
to an onscreen method (I’m sure you’ve seen the flashing FL render windows). However, once
we’ve done the rendering, we don’t seem to be getting the correct data back from GL.

For now, you should either use a single monitor or the software renderer.

I’ll look into the bug and let you know when it’s fixed.

    Thanks.

    Hi StormDave.

I’ll try to recreate your scenario here and let you know what I find.

To be clear, are you using the Invigorator Software renderer or the Invigorator Hi-Quality GL renderer?

    Thanks.

September 9, 2005 at 11:26 pm in reply to: TESTER NEEDED: Mac OS X Users (Invigorator Pro v4.0.x)

    Hello Testers.

At this point, we could use a tester with either OS X 10.4.0 or 10.4.1.

We have enough testers with 10.3.x.

    Thanks a lot.

September 8, 2005 at 7:40 pm in reply to: need more sets!

    Hi Markyyy.

Unfortunately, you cannot add more sets.

I can see a few possibilities:
    1. Animate in two separate passes (letters in one pass and objects in another pass) and composite the results together (depending on how the text and objects interact, you may not be able to do this).
    2. Use ProAnimator, which can have an unlimited number of tracks (and offers tools to animate a bunch of objects quickly. This will cost your money if you don’t already own it, of course. You can animate in ProAnimator and then import the rendered results into AE.

Maybe other users have dealt with this issue in more clever ways.
