    Hi Bill.

The floor cannot be an Invig layer. You’ll have to recreate your floor as a 3D AE layer.

Do you understand the difference? They’ll both look 3D in After Effects, but only the 3D AE layer can receive the Reflector effect properly.

    Hi Bill.

I see. The Invig 3D Floors cannot handle reflections. Reflector can only be applied to 3D AE Layers. It’s an effect for After Effects, not the Invig.

Can you make your Invig floor an AE 3D layer instead?

    Hi Alex.

I’d suggest you scale down your logo in Illustrator *before* importing it into ProAnimator.
Your logo is probably really large in the ProAnimator world.

You can scale it in ProAnimator, but your best bet is to make it small before importing it.

    Hi Bill.

Make sure you’ve applied Reflector to the 3D floor layer – not the 2D Invig layer.

If you’d like, send me your project and I’ll take a look.

January 21, 2008 at 5:43 pm in reply to: Issue with Invigorator Pro

    Hi Chris.

Make sure that the layer with Invig Pro is in Draft Mode. Layers in CS3 default to Best Mode – which causes the Invig to render a high quality version. This will be slower than a Draft Mode rendering.

For the final output, Best Mode is what you want (this will happen automatically, in most cases).
When you’re editing your project, you’ll likely want to put your Invig Pro layer in Draft Mode.

January 21, 2008 at 5:34 pm in reply to: Moving Pose in Easy Mode

    Hi Donovan.

The Move Tool in Easy Mode shows you the direction and distance of movement.

If you have the Right Arrow clicked with a distance of 35, the object(s) will be placed 35 units to the right.

If you then click the Up Arrow, the object(s) will change location to be 35 units up. It doesn’t get changed to 35 units to the right and then 35 units up. The numbers don’t combine.

You’ll likely have to use Advanced mode to handle what you want.

    HI Suli.

You’ll need to import the objects and then apply materials in ProAnimator.
The textures and some/most colors aren’t imported.

    Hi Seth.

You need to apply the Reflector Plug-in to the floor.

The Reflector Plug-in makes the layer it’s applied to a reflective surface.
