What version of of the OS are you on and what exact version of BCC are you using?

The update installer is a full installer.
If it is asking for an unlock send your info to mattm@borisfx.com along with the Unique Product ID and I can help resolve your issue.

You are experiencing these issues because Win 7 support was not added until BCC 6. You would need to upgrade to get this config to work.

You should simply just install with the vegas 8 option in the installer.
