We are showing it to Fox Sports and some NFL people (sports related) and I wanted it to mimic film more than video, as I plan to take a specific approach to it that will benefit from the conversion. More on the atmosphere and mood, less on the talking heads kinda doc.

Definitely check with them for specs. My job is to edit promos, commercials and broll for a station in town. They could not use higher quality QT stuff (ProRes for example, which I normally use), so they ended up having me use H.264. Bother them until they tell you, otherwise its your fault in the end. Its up to you, but that’s what I had to do.

    Thanks Jeff

I ended up splitting it up into first half and second half, and going with two dvds. We’ll see how it goes, and thanks again!

    thanks Jeff,

But I think I’m sticking with 2 dvd’s. If I’m not including a menu, and dropping around two hours on each, what should my settings in Compressor look like. I have some graphics and have used Magic Bullet Looks.

    Thanks again

    Thank you sir

Looks like the QT reference has -1 pan. I adjusted everything and it still its -1 on the pan after export. Is it referencing the original music from my HD?

I would honestly consider erase and install of the OS over archive and install. Time Machine backup, disks…etc. I have your exact setup on my personal computer, and am not planning on upgrading to Snow. SL is 64-bit over Leopards 32-bit, but things are nice the way they are (plus it’s my personal deal)

    Oh one more thing,

I realize it is broadcast and interlacing shouldn’t pose an issue, but will it be ok if there is some interlacing on movement? Will that be noticeable for viewers?
