December 14, 2016 at 1:33 pm in reply to: Making use of 2 channels of audio in premiereThanks for the tip, Jon! I didn’t realize you could create presets in that dialogue. That’ll be very helpful. I also just discovered the very obvious “default audio tracks” section under audio preferences, which allows you to choose how to import files by default.

December 14, 2016 at 1:29 pm in reply to: Flattening sequences while retaining all audio tracks source sequenceI know this is two years too late, but if you want to keep the “switchability” (technical term) of your audio track while flattening the video track, you can lock the audio track then choose to flatten the video track. Is that what you needed?

October 23, 2015 at 1:40 pm in reply to: What is causing this electronic sound in my Senheisser Ew100 G3 wireless lav? Thanks for your reply Richard. I should’ve mentioned that the subject speaking in the clip was off mic. I just picked a clip where the electronic noise was easy to hear.
I’d also like to clarify that I meant to describe the electronic noise building then dropping off, not the gain itself.
We had a 2nd mic for both subjects, so we were able to capture good quality audio for this shoot. I’m just trying to figure out what the odd noise is that keeps coming up with this mic. Thanks!

Thanks for the helpful links. It looks like this is a discussion that can be as deep and wide as you want it to be!

Does anybody know of a hand held audio recorder that records directly to a thumb drive?
I have a friend who travels training people to manually drill wells in remote places, and he wants to be able to do a training session then hand the people he trained a recording of the session as soon as it’s finished.
Thanks for any ideas -
I’ll do that. It’s not a real difficulty, just would save a little time when converting a lot of files.
Thanks for the quick response!

For us, the solution ended up being simple. We installed Premiere today on a non-administrator account. When logged out, then logged back in using the administrator account it started working just fine. Strange glitch, but the problem was solved.

Did you find a solution? We’re having the same issue. I’ll post if I find a solution.
