its DEF a problem with FCP log and transfer. I just downloaded Raylight and when I used it to transfer the file, it played back perfect in FCP. when I use log and transfer to do this with the SAME file, the movie is out of sync.

someone back me up on this by running my simple test. puhlease.

I would greatly appreciate another FCP 6 & HVX owner to run a simple test for me:
1.shoot ten seconds of hand claps on camera at 720/30p.
2.log and transfer the shot with the default pulldown engaged.
    3.play it back in FCP.
4.tell me if its in sync.

when I shoot in 720/30p and capture with the pulldown applied the footage when played back via fcp or even quicktime player is out of sync with the audio and the video appears to be running slightly faster than it should. If I capture without the pulldown applied, it captures and plays back at 60 and it looks and acts like it was shot at 60, ie very fluid.

I just shot a test of 720/30p versus 720/30pn. The pulldowned version of 30p is out of sync, I think the video is running roughly 30% faster than it should. the 30pn works great.
I can import the 30p without pulldown and it is in sync at 60.
is there a bug with the 30p pulldown in FCP 6?

When viewing all columns, they read: format:720p30, shooting rate:30, source:dvcpro hd 720p60, transcode: DVCPRO HD 720p60, pulldown: 2:2.

We recently had the same probably of being unable to import 720/30p. By unchecking the remove pulldown box, we did get the files to import, but of course they look like 60p now. I can’t figure out how to restore the right pulldown once I have the files in fcp? Any thoughts?

i have exactly the opposite problem, all my previews are great, but my renders all shift. all of them. I definitely think it is DVCPRO HD related.

yes. are you implying that the trouble lies in the DVCPROHD nature of the footage?

Bump. Having the same issue. Outputting DVCPRO50 and getting a chroma shift after a couple of seconds on all clips. The ingested footage is DVCPROHD, we are downrezzing to 4:3 sd. Has anyone solved this?
