  • luma shift while rendering DVCProHD in AE CS3

I just upgraded to Final Cut Pro HD 6 and After Effects CS3 and using Automatic Duck to export FC timelines to AE. While in AE, I can preview on my monitor using an AJA Kona LH and the color is well represented. However, when I render out a DVCPro HD 720p 60fps file, the color starts off great, then after rendering a few seconds, it appears that the luma suddenly drops resulting in a color shift. This has happened on several different compositions, so I know it’s not an accidental color correction or level keyframe change on my part.

This never happened while using AE 7.0, but unfortunately I cannot go back to that version because I’ve already upgraded the project I’m working on to AE CS3.

Has anyone else experienced this problem?

    Thanks,
    Dana

I’ve also noticed that this only happens when I’m using video clips inside of an AE Comp. I’m working on a project now that is strictly graphics – I’ve rendered to QT and it’s fine.

Bump. Having the same issue. Outputting DVCPRO50 and getting a chroma shift after a couple of seconds on all clips. The ingested footage is DVCPROHD, we are downrezzing to 4:3 sd. Has anyone solved this?
