Another option is to try to mount a mirror above the patient. Then you can have your camera on sticks across the room and shoot into the mirror. Works for cooking shows.

If you are just looking for material to demonstrate your cutting skills, try using some of the public domain work you can download on the web. Best part about it is it’s free.
Try:
The Internet Movie Achive

November 10, 2006 at 7:13 pm in reply to: changing value of multiple keyframes simltaneouslyAnother way to select all the keyframes is to park the indicator on one of the keyframes, then click on the property name (i.e. position or scale). It selects all the keyframes for that property. Also, when you are parked on a keyframe, you can click on the stopwatch icon, to delete all your keyframes for that property. Better than selecting them all and deleting, becuase it leaves you with with the keyframe value you were parked on.

Can someone recommend an insurance company? I’m looking for a million dollar liability policy and coverage for all my gear. I’m a small one man shop (LLC).
Thanks.

Have you tried adding an ambient light rather than a point or spot light? That should tell you if lights are working at all.

Thanks for the quick sunday response Rick. Do you calculate the tax on the value of the deliverable (i.e. the DVD or tape) or the total project bill? And another question, for deliveries out of state do you have to register with that state? I have heard something about a multi-state registry you can enroll in so you don’t have to go to every state.
Many thanks,
Matt……………………..

July 21, 2006 at 8:19 pm in reply to: Need a Product Review for MacBook Pro, W/ Intel Core Duo ProcessorI am currently running AE 7 (mac) on a new 15 inch macbook pro with 1GB of RAM. I can confirm that AE performs really sluggishly. I am planning on installing windows through boot camp until the new universal mac version is released.

Another option, if you don’t want to daisy chain, is to get the firewire card that fits into the 34 slot on the mac book pro. You can take a look at it here:

I just ordered one and will report back on how it works.

Thanks Tony. Maybe I’ll just convert it all to black and white in post so I don’t have to worry about it. Just kidding – that was the editor in me taking. Maybe I’ll nix the window idea. I don’t think I’ll be getting any lights bright enough to compete.
The package I’m thinking of now consists of the following:
1 lowel Rifa 44 (250w) with a softbox for my key
Bounce card on a stand for my fill
Lowel Prolight as a special (either kicker or eyelight)That’s it. Any suggestions? Again, this set up is for interviews in homes, shooting on the ony fx-1 in hdv. Looking to not spend too much money as budget is real tight.
Thanks

Thanks Mark and Greg,
I like the sound of that Lowel Rifa. A nice soft light and a bounce card was just what I was thinking. But renting could be a good option too, depending on how many shoot days I’ll have. I’ll have to check the local rates. Thanks for all the help!
