I am definitely talking about option A.

I am rendering out a big project in AE and will test this when it’s done.

    Thanks!

Thanks Robert. That is 50% of what I need. A lot of times I get in the nitty gritty of the audio edit and am zoomed in there. While this command “zoom to sequence” does handle the horizontal zoom, I was wondering if there is anything that also handles the vertical zoom, so that I have an instant view of every event.

    thanks

Thanks for both ways! I’ll employ them both judiciously.

    WHOA!?

So if I have a timeline this big I have to zoom out all the way and precisely select a group of events and move them?

I don’t get the highlighting thing, cause I have tried shift + delete and it never works for me or does anything. I have clicked and made some tracks blue.

This seems like a pretty hard way to go when I trim 10 frames off of a clip on a 12 minute timeline, I have to zoom all the way out, then move it 10 frames, then zoom back in?

Pretty in efficient, I know that Premiere must have a better way. I believe!

    Wah wah….

tough to get super accurate frame counts with 23.976 fps, but I did it!!!

  • I think one problem we are running into is that the media is MXF, and I think they used pluralEyes or something like it to sync the media (which I don’t have). Thus the media all shows “Synced”. I can hear the sound but can’t see picture, it says “media offline”.

    Is that of any help?

    Chap

  • So yes, we only have the media managed files, but the MXF numbers seem to match up decently (starting with 001, 002, etc, etc).

Is there a way to point AVID back to the new (copied over) files? Or is it back to the drawing board.

    Many thanks Shane,
