you need to download the plug in and make a little hack to use with 550d.

Sorry, but you need to recapture you footage or manually re-sync it. The problem, i think, it’s related to a timecode break, look at the FCP User preference if it’s set to “WARN AFTER CAPTUREon a time codebreak”.

Also the compressor/ limiters in STP are much better than the ones in FCP.”
Also STP have Gain reduction graph, so you can better evaluate the compressor-limiter compression.
