    Steve,
Yes, I did try that already, no luck. I decided to move all of the markers manually but it sure seems like there should be a better way.
    Thanks

  • Michael,
Thank-you for your response, I appreciate your time on this. And, I really agree with your position on this. I have noticed so many vendors so excited about selling all the new technology and I can understand that to keep pushing us forward into better technology but a reality check of exactly where we are right now with utilizing all these HD options is very helpful.
And a side note, a lot of the celeb’s I have worked with hate HD because of all of that great detail everyone is excited about….. and we ended up having to re-shoot some of them on another medium just to release the film.
    Thanks again.

HD with the SD option sounds good & although they have that new sexy appeal, I am not really wanting a tapeless camera at this point in time. Call me paranoid and old school but after producing & editing for over 25 years I have seen too many drives break down & I don’t like having my master be at risk, ever. I know, I know I can do a tape back up but I don’t want to do that extra step just for wedding stuff.I need 2 cameras, great low light capability since brides are not going to let you light up the joint. XLR for audio and user friendly, not too much fiddling w/scrolling through menus. I want it all I guess. Oh yeah & under 5000 would be optimum. Also I am looking for some good training on the gear if you have any ideas on that it would be helpful as well.
    Thanks for you time!

Is there any DVCam deck model that will receive TC or do I have to go back to Digi-Beta which is hard to find/rent now that I escaped LA & live in Santa Barbara.

    Stace,
I have been using Go Daddy for the past couple of days. I did use Godaddy on the last job and it was OK. A little fussy but not bad. This time It has been fraught with problems, My QT movie even disappeared & then I had to reupload and my clients were having trouble downloading, (didn’t make me look too good), not the best customer service either, vey nice but not very effective. I checked out “you send it”, it looks great! Have you had any problems with it?

Thanks Dave, I used that site on my last job. Good to know, I will just do the same. Although I can’t remember what the quicktime settings were that were optimum for viewing. I thought I saved the info but they got dumped when the cut was completed. Any sugestions? The cut piece is under 5 min.
    Thanks for your time.
