    Hi M,

I purchased a godaddy online file folder for 2GB/$19.99 per year. works great, has FTP access and the best part is that you can just email them a link where they can download the file.

Works great on our end, we share videos, stills, zips and even some wavs off there.

    hope that helps

Thanks Dave, I used that site on my last job. Good to know, I will just do the same. Although I can’t remember what the quicktime settings were that were optimum for viewing. I thought I saved the info but they got dumped when the cut was completed. Any sugestions? The cut piece is under 5 min.
    Thanks for your time.

You can use a .Mac account, last week they were upgraded from 1GB to 10GB.

You can have it give a simple page of what is available to download, or even better, use the new iLife 08 with it and make a video gallery. You can offer different quality sizes to be watched or downloaded, and you can password it so that only your client has access to it.

Well for approval purposes, i export using QT Conversion, Settings AT Quicktime Movie @ Broadband High (a h.264 file). I get a decent size that for most pieces is less than 10 megs (less than 4 min pieces)

    hmm… I wonder what this button does…

I like the sound of that GoDaddy system – I use http://www.yousendit.com – clients don’t need to be “FTP Friendly” to figure it out.

    Cheers,

    Stace,
I have been using Go Daddy for the past couple of days. I did use Godaddy on the last job and it was OK. A little fussy but not bad. This time It has been fraught with problems, My QT movie even disappeared & then I had to reupload and my clients were having trouble downloading, (didn’t make me look too good), not the best customer service either, vey nice but not very effective. I checked out “you send it”, it looks great! Have you had any problems with it?
