Well, in the Creative Cow Total training series ON AE the lady teacher—I believe she’s from Adobe—shows in the tutorial that’s how you do it.

You type some text, browse presets, goes to Bridge, you preview what preset effect you want and then dbl. click it and it applies to your text.

But, I have found another way to to apply it.

I don’t know if your camera has a VFR feature, but if you have VFR in shooting @ 30pn it will turn off audio. I don’t know this particular camera.

Turn VFR in the menu OFF so everything is native.

Great idea. I just upgraded to FCP 7 last night. I was running 6.0.6. I left everything on my cpu in place. Plugins, settings etc.

Installed the upgrade. Took quite awhile. About 4hrs.

Launched FCP 7, perfect. Everything moved over fine AND I went to Log & Transfer and BAM, those P2 files came right in. YEAH.

I was having problems before with this.

FYI, I’m running and staying w/ OS 10.5.7 for now.

So, great idea.

Exactly, “in theory”.

That’s why I advised him to stay w/ “tried & true” and move into upgrading slowly, testing along the way and then when proven and “ALL” things stable then put your butt out there.

Maybe I’m just to conservative, nut I’ve been in business nearly 20 yrs. now & have learned some hard lessons along the way. I just don’t take ANY unnecessary risks anymore. When I get our work stations popping on all 8 cylinders and humming right along… I don’t tune it anymore. Until I have to!

No I didn’t fail to notice I just didn’t take the time to write a long email addressing all issues. He said enough. FCP 7 may be stable as the other fella mentioned BUT going to a whole new OS upgrade too is a BIG RED FLAG TO ME.

But your right, backward compatible is usually always forbidden, and yes I’d stay away from these upgrade path all at once.

There was obviously a camera mounted on a tripod, but how & who OR how was it programmed to take all these incremental shots?
