Thanks Charles. Your solution solved my aspect ratio changing that I mentioned to Mike, but the PNG file would not give me the option of “hold” or “Loop” – only “stop” or “link”

Am I doing something wring with the set up?

    Thanks again for the input…

Thanks Mike – I followed the directions and got it to work.

One small problem though. When my “bump” ends and goes back to the main menu with the PNG that is “Holding” – there is a slight “resetting” of the image where it appears to be doing some with the aspect ratio. The final frame of the bump seems a little more “compressed in size than that of the PNG (although I used the same 720 x 480 image for both.

This is a small problem and it won’t prevent me from having this thing done on time, but I hope it won’t be to “jolting” to the audience when projected on 2 large screens….

Thanks for your help – it’s much appreciated.

  • Thanks everyone for the help. I did a little further researh and found a program called swishmax – that did this task incredibly easily (I’m talking seconds!)

It works like FLash, but without the learning curve necessary to master flash. It has a “typewriter” effect built in.

It claims that you can create the effect in SwishMax and export the swf directly into Vegas. I wasn’t able to that, but it also allowed me to export an AVI directly into Vegas which did work.

Great solution if you’re looking for this kind of stuff….

  • Thanks for clarifying Gary. Do you know where I can find a prject file that does this. I did a search of the site, but was not successful in finding anything….

Can anyone tell if this comes with all the updates that were done to the origninal 6.o? I think they got to 6.0D or something like that. THe reason I ask, is that the latest version of Vegas 6 allows you to extract certain parts of a non copyrighted DVD by importing via a menu command.

I also heard that if you buy Vegas 6 – all updates to 6 are free (which would be great if it were true).

    Thnaks.
