April 27, 2019 at 2:18 pm in reply to: Audio Waveform – that doesn’t move from right to leftI think what you might be after is expanding the height of an audio row.
On the timeline, if you position your cursor on the bottom edge, I think on the left side where the labels are, it should change so you can drag up & down to change the row height & allowing the waveform to be more visible.

April 24, 2019 at 6:23 am in reply to: After effects sluggish/barely functional in rotoscope, novice needs assistance, is my computer up for this?I’m not up on the latest by any stretch; still using CS6 but on new hardware. Had my fingers crossed mixing the old with the new, but it’s been purring.
I generally don’t use proxies either but just tossing that out as something to test. I’m sure one of the more tech savvy’s here will chime in. It sounds as if you’ve checked & covered the basics though.
You could check the MP4’s with mediainfo: https://MediaArea.net/MediaInfo
Maybe there’s something odd that’s not obvious. MP4’s are supposed to be mainly a distribution format and can have key frames, etc. that goof with interpretation. Maybe check the Interpret footage too if you haven’t already; make sure it looks normal.
Oh, which version of AE?

Only thing I can think of that others will ask is what file format & size are the sources? Maybe some sort of codec issue & doing a conversion or work with proxys is the way to go.
Get the latest card drivers if you haven’t.

Take look at the PNG’s in the Interpret panel. Maybe you’ve a rogue alpha or premultiply setting.

Can’t really help you with the rest, but here’s a place you’ll want to check out:

I use exrTrader coming out of Lightwave. Don’t see any AE version on their site but perhaps contacting them will give you a lead on that. They’re quite helpful & help me track down an issue Photoshop has with exr’s.

Are your AI layers rasterized?

Have you looked into BAO Mask Brush?
https://aescripts.com/bao-mask-brush/
Since you can use anything as the “Brush”, even another comp, you can precomp your radio dots to be reverse then let BAO do the rest.

Funny you should say that. I’ve two systems & an electric heater on the same circuit & no problems. Couldn’t do that in pre LED monitor days.
So far no issues of that sort. Mostly just getting use to Win10 & installing & re-registered various things. Have three Steam games that won’t start & have to get in touch with each of the creators separately. Wonderful. But the others look & play phenomenal. Minor set back though; I can find the dongle to the controller. Replacement one is en-route.
Had to do the reinstall & manual rereg of Element3D earlier tonight but that worked just fine. Hope to work though the Orb tutorial soon as I’ve a particular shot I want to do that I couldn’t before.

The Re:Vision plug Twixtor handles things like this pretty well for example.
