Audio Waveform – that doesn’t move from right to left

I’m guessing here… I think what you want is to turn off/change the timeline scrolling during playback. This can be changed in your preferences. Change the Timeline Playback Auto Scrolling setting from “smooth scroll” to “page scroll”. See attached photo. Hope this helps.

I think what you might be after is expanding the height of an audio row.

On the timeline, if you position your cursor on the bottom edge, I think on the left side where the labels are, it should change so you can drag up & down to change the row height & allowing the waveform to be more visible.

Sorry, I meant the effect ‘audio waveform’ – not a timeline feature. I want to apply the effect to a solid and just have the waveforms get bigger and smaller, but not scroll from right to left.

Is there a way to do this?

I think you’re looking for something like audio spectrum rather than audio waveform. Audio waves move through time.
