Yeah, it doesn’t sound like power is your issue. For me my desktop has an older graphics card so it and Element are not friends, but it works fine on my laptop. I’d suggest trying the patch mentioned above.
Thanks. I tried everything except importing the project files into another project. I’m going to upgrade my MacDrive to 7 when I get home. I think that might help. If not I may get another hard drive and format it for mac then transfer the files on the mac at work onto the mac formatted drive and see if my pc at home will recognize it.
I don’t think you’re understanding me. The desktop doesn’t won’t recognize the deck is there or install it correctly. I’m not trying to use deck control or to digitize, but to use the deck like a drive and drag and drop files from the dvd to my system. The main problem is the windows can’t correctly install the deck so I can’t use it at all.

Don’t make it look like news footage use some dramatic lighting. Make your promo look different from what viewers see on the news. DON’T USE CLASSIC THREE POINT LIGHTING. Don’t make it look like a horror movie, but do something different. I just shot some anchor stuff. I used a softlight gel orange as the backlight and too lowel totas bounced off silver brellas off to either side of the anchor basically at a 90 degree angle from the cam. I looks great and totally different from ordinary news footage. The totas light their face nicely and the soft back light separates them from the background.
