Use the Set Speed retiming behavior – apply it to your video, trim the In-Point to the frame where you want the slowdown to start and the Out-point to the frame where you want it to end, then tell it how slow, and how quickly to slow down and then speed back up.

You create a new project WITH THE FRAME RATE YOU WANT, then copy-paste in your layers. Your selected frame rate will remain.

Very good approach. And while true that you can’t move the camera along its z-axis, you can achieve what you want by changing either the Scale or the Angle of View of the camera.

It doesn’t, but that’s very easy. Now that you have the final opacities set with the “frozen” sequence replicator, you can just add another one to animate opacity from 0 to the final values.

Turn off your first sequence replicator behavior and use the second to set up the staged opacities. Think of it as a “frozen” sequence replicator that sequences the opacity of the cells but doesn’t animate the opacity.

Just import your Motion project itself directly into FCP and place it over your video track.
If you feel compelled to render something out of Motion with transparency, you need to use a codec that supports an alpha channel, like Animation or ProRes 4444.

You could use a second sequence replicator behavior to set varying opacity levels – just change the animation type (can’t remember the parameter name) to Constant, set the value and don’t add any keyframes so the animation stays still. By adding opacity, setting it to 0% and adjusting the Spread you should get the result you want.

Really not understanding your workflow. But you can change project duration, resolution, PAR, etc. – you just can’t change the frame rate of a project that has content in it – just like an FCP sequence. You can, however, cut and paste all your layers into a new Motion project with a different frame rate.
