You’ll have to be more specific – every one of those filters will create trails of different kinds. What about them did not work? Can you share a screenshot?

You just need the change the Alignment of the text in the HUD or Inspector. That will move the anchor point and change the tracking animation.

Yeah that drives me crazy. But just change your zoom level and it will move out of the way (command-spacebar-drag, assuming you’ve turned off or reassigned that Spotlight keyboard shortcut).

Generally you need to diving into the groups and layers and figure out the parts you want to extend – no easy solutions.

Try the Ripple or Ring filters instead. You may need to keyframe them.
