Thanks for the quick reply. I have a 64-bit system. I’ll look into Corsair which will probably be best for my X48 motherboard. I found 8GB for around $130 from Newegg.

I have encountered video and audio sync problems previously as well. However, mine was in working with AVCHD. However, I did find a work around that did help. I rendered out the video and audio seperately and then used tsMuxer in order to combine the video and audio. This did the trick.

  • Take a look at the following site.

    https://consumer.spectracal.com/collections/calpc

I use both a ColorMunki and an Eye-One Display LT profiled off the ColorMunki. I am able to achieve excellent results with the CalPC program and these meters. Here is what I was able to accomplish with grayscale.

Apparently ATI also now supported according to latest Vegas Pro release notes.

    “ATI GPUs
OpenCL GPU-accelerated rendering requires an OpenCL-enabled ATI GPU and AMD Radeon Catalyst driver 11.2 or later with an ATI Radeon HD 57xx or newer GPU (please see Known Issues regarding an incompatibility with driver versions 11.3 and 11.4). If using an ATI FirePro GPU, FirePro unified driver 8.773 or later is required.”

I have a high end quad core and an overclocked ATI 5870. I haven’t realized anything substantial. At this point there is no sense in us holding our breath waiting for this all to work better. It will in time. How long?…Who knows.

The secondary color corrector worked best. I was able to adjust the washed out bright skin colors to a more realistic flesh tone. Now, what is proper FX in order to make the bright colors darker without darkening the entire video? Things are definitely looking much better. I appreciate the assistance. Thanks.

Wow, that response was very fast. I have Vegas Pro 10d. I’ll give it a whirl and get back with the results. Thank you for the input.

Here is a 10 second clip showing the finding. When I play the video in WMP at full screen, it looks quite a bit more pronounced with much less skin tones apparent.

Mike, I believe that I located the section that you are referring to. I bookmarked it as well. Your 3D box is one of these as well as a number of other ones that you have included.

Mike, that is phenomenol. I am lightyears behind being able to conceptualize creating something like this on my own. I’m sure it will take me quite a bit to begin to understand all of the nuances in this Veg file that you directed me too. I have added this to my Vegas utilities folder. Thanks you.

Is there a listing of other useful Vegas files of this sort that you could direct me to?

Rodrigo, the 3D box looks quite amazing. How do you accomplish this? Is this a special plug in or program add on?
