Thanks for your response Dave. My question is more geared towards software and approach. I feel like Adobe’s stabilizers won’t handle a long shot well. The shot as well, is fairly dynamic.

Wondering if Resolve’s solver would be best.

  • All great options.

Figured out another solution. Ended up just making that shape and using the dash attribute on the stroke. To animate movement, I just keyed up the offset feature within.

Back in business. Thanks for all your suggestions.

  • It just needs to rotate. Those bumps need to run along the path of the shape.

    John,

Let me clarify, I’m not having a problem drawing in the foam…taking it from 0% to 100%. My issue is, once its drawn on, do I have to have the mask keyframed through the whole 30 seconds or is there an easier way to just loop 3 or 4 seconds of this process.

    Does that make sense?

    Thanks for your replies, btw.

This most likely wouldnt work. I’m not sure I was clear…that is my fault.

The 2 spools are spinning as the foam forms. Wouldnt that process keep the foam static or am I seeing it wrong?

    Thanks for responding…

So, I’m needing the foam to rotate with the spool as well, as if forms it then sticks to the final plane and continues down the track.

Would a shape, with trim paths, work that way?
