Interesting. All clipwrap does is add a QuickTime “wrapper” around your m2t file. It shouldn’t effect the quality at all.

If your footage is already on a HDD why would you need to go through Log&Transfer? Why not simply drag the file strait into the media bin? What am I missing?

I don’t think that actually stamps the timecode on the video.

You understand that Final Cut can’t use H.264 files, right?

I don’t know if this helps, but you can set the on-screen display to also display through the composite and SDI outputs on the camera. Obviously, this would require an external recorder of some sort.

Render Quality is under the View button at the top right of the Canvas.

If you double-click on your first audio channel in the Final Cut Pro timeline and look at the viewer, you’ll see a pan setting which is most likely set in the center. This is why you hear your mono channel in both sides of your headphones.
