You can, but you may run into problems depending on the complexity of your program. The “Send to…” feature is a great marketing gimmick just like the “Share” feature. Yeah, they work sometimes. Give it a shot!

Is you client requiring you to use On2Flix to make you Flash video files?
If not, can you client use the newer H.264 version of Flash files. Meaning, you can create flv video files very quickly and easily without the On2Flix program.
Just export your timeline using the native compression of your timeline. Go into Compressor and choose or set the correct setting for you H.264 QuickTime file and compress it. When it is finished, make a copy of that file and change its extension from .mov to .flv, A question box will pop-up asking you if this is correct, click the OK button. You now have a H.264 Flash video file with the .flv extension.
It works! This is why On2Flix is defunct.

What has suggested, Lonnie, is to export to the native codec THEN use compressor to export to mp4. Works perfectly every time. Exporting to anything other than the native project codec can result in issues like yours.

Once you have all of the XDCAM EX plugins and software installed, you have to use Log and Transfer to import the footage.

Juan… Apple is just doing away with the Xserve device. Its a box that runs OSX Server software. Yeah… Its footprint was very nice for server application rooms but Apple isn’t killing the whole server market, just a device that has obviously poor sales.
You can still purchase a Mac Pro Server (much larger than the Xserve) or a Mac Mini Server (albeit that adding drives is an issue with this solution).
Apple has never been the powerhouse they dreamed of in the networking department. Times are tough and tough decisions have been made. You can still buy existing stock and Apple will still support them for some time to come.

Wow! I didn’t know anyone was still working in those resolutions.
Anyways… The lesson here is not to export and downsize from FCP. ALWAYS export a full resolution QuickTime and use either Compressor or Adode to compress your web videos.
Another way to stop pixelization while compressing your videos is to check in Compressor that you are set to progressive scan. For some reason, Compressor isn’t always defaulted to this in the progressive scan compression schemes.

Check to see if you have iLink on? If so, turn it off. You won’t need to convert to DV if you are trying to capture to HDV.

Well… That answers that…
Compressor NEVER does a good job with converting to XDCAM or IMX codecs. The best method of making an IMX50 file would be to output your timeline to a tape and then capture that tape at IMX50.
I know… you hear everyone saying that this will degrade your project, but trust me, it works much better than Compressor.

What format are you recording to tape? Are you laying back to BetaSX? And one more question… Why are you converting your timeline before writing back to tape?
You must have some sort of capture card. Why not let that card send the video to your tape deck? Codecs don’t matter in this case. I can lay a ProRes422 to any format thru our AJA Kona 3 card.
Ok… One more question….
Why did you capture BetaSP into ProRes422 HQ? That’s serious overkill. Your video will not look any better than regular ProRes422. ProRes422 HQ is made primarily for program that are mostly graphics and resolutions higher than 1920×1080. I realize you want the best quality, but its not going to make you video look any better that it already is on tape.
Work with codecs that match your best video compression.
