I’ll have to check this evening – it’s probably the new version is built against version 12 and hence won’t work in 11.

I’ll see if I still have the version 11 DLL files and build a version for 11 and a version for 12

Ok there is now a new version for Vegas Pro 12

    https://www.mgreenwood.com.au/upload/videowall/tictactoe.dll

Save this and then insert it into your ScriptMenu folder – under where you have vegas installed (typcially c:\program files\sony\vegas pro 12.0\Script Menu)

Then restart (or start) Vegas and then find the Script under Tools/Scripting/TicTacToe.

I’ll have to see – hopefully it’s a simple as recompiling against the Sony Vegas Pro 12 SDK (DLL file) – but if it’s more complex – might take me a while – I’ll have a play in the next couple of days and if successful will post a new link to it

That’s very strange – this happened when I tried to install the original version but works fine with the new one.

I’ve renamed the file TicTacToe2.dll – please copy this to the script menu folder – rescan (or restart vegas) and try that – the only thing I can think of is that it’s cached the old version for some reason?

    Hi,

I just updated this to run on Vegas 11.0

    The link is

    https://www.mgreenwood.com.au/upload/videowall/tictactoe.dll

The old version which works in Vegas 8.0 and Vegas 9.0 can be found at

    https://www.mgreenwood.com.au/upload/videowall/TicTacToeOld.dll

Note that the new version will also work in Vegas Pro 10 – I think as the Scripting hasn’t changes since version 10.b.

Any issues please let me know…

    Mark.

    Thanks for that Mike,

never seen Sony put out an update so quick 🙂

  • Just out of interest does Hypercam2 footage import correctlyin vegas pro 9 64 bit = I use Camtasia all the time at work – but since there is no 64bit codec for Camtasia I can’t import the footage into Vegas Pro 9 x64.

Incidentally I even sent Camtasia an email and they told me I had to raise a feature request – hopefully they will realise that x64 OS’s are here to stay and fix this soon 🙂

  • I don’t think she meant resize as new dimensions of width and height – I think she meant get all of the images into the correct TIMING (hence the 30 images per second…)

The only two things that come to mind are

a.) There is an issue with 9.0d and you should roll back to 9.0b or 9.0 c
b.) There is an issue with the x64 version when connected to your camera and on the XP it will have been the 32 bit version.

As I don’t have a Sony HDR_FX1 I can’t verify of course but this might be something worth looking at – unless someone else has any ideas?!?

Yes you can – in fact you can have both the 32 and 64 bit versions side by side…

Note that if you use certain video codecs and FX in 32 bit and then try and open them in the 64bit version they might not work – because some codecs (for example Camtasia) don’t have a 64 bit version – otherwise your generally ok…..
