Thanks guys for your answers. Actually, what I did was I designed the whole thing in Photoshop (with inner shadows, bevel…), imported it in AE and animated it (all 25 layers or so) exactly as I intended. Shatter effect is too limiting for what I’m trying to achieve.

    Thanks!

  • I installed mine on my MB (just in case) and I can confirm it works normally!

  • Tnx Arnie!

Take a look at this and let me know what you think….

  • Thanks Rafael for your answer!
    Will try that!

  • Hi Rafael!
I used it because I wated to check all of the options (I need DV PAL interlaced as a broadcast master) to see how it would look since I never did it that way! In the meantime I switched variable speed to non variable and it doesn’t happen! Does that mean that one cannot export HD footage with variable speed clips to a DV PAL 25fps (or even other formats) without having skipping at he beginning and at the end of the certain clip (when speed change stops)???

  • Guys, there is one thing I don`t understand…
So far I am upgrading my equipment step by step. I bought FCS but my budget for some dv scope like DSR11 will have to wait for a few months.
SO, I bought Sony camcorder (DCR HC62E) to put out my videos via camcorder for now.
Yesterday I tried to “Edit to Tape” some test footage and everything was okay exept the time code.
Whatever I did the time code on the camera was always starting from 00:00:00:00!!!!
I did the regular procedure; tried to stripe the tape (film strip button).
The “CURRENT SETTINGS” dialog box came but after that “INITIALIZE TAPE” dialog box did not! It was missing! So I wasn`t able to write in the desired TC.
Anyway I recorded a few minutes of black on the tape and stopped it.
After that, I set the start TC in the down-left box in the “Edit to Tape”. When I dragged the sequence to assemble edit, the tape in the camcorder went fast forward towards the end of the tape, which is obviously understandable since it didn`t write in the TC I wanted.

So, the question is why is that? Is it because I recorded it on simple camcorder? If I tried it on Canon XL2 would it work (I am trying not to use that camera for playout)?
    Please help!
    Tnx!
