It will only help you to the degree.
Making gray plate fro AE is good way to test out if it would help you.
So just test it out and it probably would cost you nothing,

September 26, 2014 at 8:21 am in reply to: buying a new system for realtime 4k in davinci resolveI have to see that there are many different ways for 4k.
4k in red file that you use on HD timeline and 4k in DPX or some sort of raw.
The workflow determines what kind of machinery you need.
First option you could do on desktop level so to say but real full 4k need more kick in the machine,
array and budget.Resolve guide is really good starting point as Juan pointed.
All the way 4K is expensive.

I have been thinking about it super long time.
Now the example makes usage more clear to me.
For food and other precision stuff i will use my Mocha Pro more and more now.
I really hope BM picks the idea up and integrates import for Resolve and Fusion.
Super powerful stuff!

I agree with Juan that AE like paste option would be great.
I’m sure it is doable if BM finds it useful.
Also can you tell if only rgb masks are options or can there be more in one mate?

September 14, 2014 at 6:55 am in reply to: Blacks way too lifted after exporting color corrected footage to DCP (cineasset)It seems that maybe your prores is making bad things maybe and dpx acts better ?
Testing like Marc pointed seems good as you can see exactly what is happening on scopes.
Also screen shot from scopes before and after would help.

September 13, 2014 at 6:55 pm in reply to: Blacks way too lifted after exporting color corrected footage to DCP (cineasset)If you are monitoring in rec709 then you should use video levels.
DCP conversion process will convert the colour space as needed.
Try this.

In theory you could assemble your timeline with charts and stuff in reslove also?
I tend to do it for mastering a movie.

September 10, 2014 at 8:29 pm in reply to: Raw DNG’s + Prores Proxies – relink during grading?File / reel name have to be exactly the same in mov name as in dng. Also TC should be identical.
I would do proxy files from the original DNG files from Resolve and would burn in
TC, File name etc. All relevant data that would help to reconnect to DNG
lets say everything goes wrong with relink or you loose your edit etc.—
