Just copy pasting gets you half way as jPo stated.
You need to make some edge softening and probably masking to make it more
blend to the original image. Sometimes noise or grain is also needed for the replacement
layer that it would not pop out.Any compositing app would give you that control faster compared to Resolve for now.
I’m sure Fusion will change that a lot in near future.—

You can give them trimmed raw already now.
Sure deep integration will have many many benefits for the workflow.
Nuke studio is good example for it.

It is probable that premiere messes up the TC.

I just today had similar problem.
Trick was that i’m grading trailer for feature someone is working on and
i have to mentally trace the ideas he had in the process.Somewhat trickier but doable as there is not photography and costumes
on the way.I bet using different tools also affect images a bit differently.

Original RR is getting old and has many problems.
I would not buy one!
New fast GPU’s do fantastic job decoding red material als in real time.
It is really up to your config how fast results you have.
In my Old Mac Pro 12 c + gtx 780 i get realtime in HD timeline
without quality loss so i see no reason to play with RR which may fail any given day.Modern GPU’s seem to be more suitable as they will fail less and are cheaper to replace
if needed plus the speed is also decent.—
