    Hi.

You can output video with DL Extreme component or SDI even if it is not originally made with BM codec. You just need to have working setup with your BM card. Import video files in dedicated editing software you have FCP or Premiere and make the timeline to render as with your software if some files are with different codec. I assume that the video files are with the same parameters in resolution and frame rate as the BM DL Extreme is set up i.e. PAL for pal files and field order but different codec like DV avi/mov or uncompressed avi/mov etc. I hope you get the idea. I have now set up both PC and Mac so i can use virtually eny files that my editing software is able to import
and play after render and output them to SDI. Again correct setup of editing software and DL input output options are must.

    Hi.

All in FCP is fine filed or no field but the problem comes in when i export TIFF frames to sequence to give it out to color corrector in different work flow. I solved the problem by exporting my material from compressor making an compression setting with image conrtol turned to progressive. Generally it seemed not good that FCP did not export progressive TIFF sequence in decent way. Maybe the problem is me ?

    Hi again.

Seems that you give ref only to beta but you also need to give it in your capture card if possible so they have the same sync signal. This is the general idea to ref as all devices get the same synchronization frequency so to say and it keeps them locked. I assumed that your camera outputs full res signal and you can split your signal atleast with simple wire spliter wich goes simultaniosly to caprture card like DL Extreme sync in and beta ref in.

    HI.

I just wanted to add that if BM works then it works.
I have had Matrox few years aga go and man this thing might die in eny moment 🙂 So i have on my PC DL Extreme and now i have Multibridge Pro 2 on Mac Pro and i can not say enything bad. As it it is sayed earlyer “It just works” Ok some times some updates have issues and ok sometimes support here on the list is bit slow but generally those ocasions you need help are really rare. I usually have them when i get new product and want to have really deep tech information. I belive it is correct that people are working more than hanging here on the list. At least i i’m 🙂

Might it be that your fans are just dead because of dust and cigarete smoke ? I change my computers fans once a year sometimes to have silent operation. All dust etc kills fans really fast.

    Hi.

Take cam corder and have it output black signal as composite video (closed cap mode :)). Generally there you got ref. More sophisticated way would be with black burst generator.
