Hi.
I probably will buy local producers machine where it is used a BM listed motherboard and graphics and it costs about 600 but support is on users own shoulders as far it goes to ultrascope. I have not made my own calculations if i will buy stuff separately will it be cheaper ? Probably but still no support 🙂
Generally my point is if you are not willing to play with you support needs so to say then go with brand.
Graphics card is easy to change i think if you find machine with listed motherboard then you probably can ask your computer store to change this with the one that BM lists.

Hi.
I bet your key layer is not for the full time your clip is i.e. key filter layer has only lets say length 10 sec out of 20 for the full clip.

As you sayed you have only SDI connected but no sync?
It should work just like that if you connect your sync gen and capture card and tape machine. Just make sure gen and tape have the same frame rate (setting).
This is no brainer.

Just buy cheap external hdd for pro rez proxy.
Even with 10 tapes it takes 200 gb.
Get 1TB and you are go.
Less mystery later to reconnect etc.Generally it is more easy to capture all stuff in Full Prores
if you have the room.—

What i do on mac is i open this avi on QT pro and do “save as”.
After that i have mov that plays out no problem.Test it maybe it would work for you also.

Hi.
If you only need every frame to be 1 frame long then you could import those also to QT Pro and save as mov.
I say this as it is much easyer to operate with it on fcp timeline.
In fcp you could use 2, 3 or 5 etc frames per one still frame which gives you more room in artistic way. Still i’d export this frames folder from timeline and would import it again to fcp timeline for easyer operation. Maybe it is more question of work habit 🙂

This is why i pointed to analogue in camera pass as it is relatively simplest and cheapest option just find a friend with such camera and borrow it.
I see why Bob is critical in this matter. Yes there is nothing wrong with your Intensity. Maybe this DV storm was a bit lower in its standards and survived jumpy signal. This does not mean all systems have to work like that specially if they are manufactured according to pro level standards.
