Other option would be to change edl with some sophisticated editor that could automatically find and replace parts needed. It is more like programming but if you figure it out it should be simplest.
I do something like that with motion projects.

Does the using style matter so much ?
It is more important what comes out from your session not how you do it ?

On regular keyboard you have 8 “slots” on big panel you have more.
But for 2 cams and maybe 4 sizes in shots why do you need more ?
For me it is really fast with opposite shots.

Quadro 6000s or just 580s would be lovely.
Lets hope there will be support some time in the future.
I wonder if anyone has went with 2 cubix boxes as mac pro has two 16x lanes.
