I think one would be for GUI and second one for processing.
Always the one with monitors attached is for gui.Direct speed increase would come from 4800 as computing gpu i’d say.

I have the same experience with NEC NC2000C.
What i saw here in studio i got in cinema.

Last week my soft raid with hitachi 2 x 7k300 3 tb went bad.
1,5 tb hitachis are rock solid.

I bet there is a way to rename reels that every new 24 hours is in a way a bit unique.
That should be eazy with automator rename but i have not tested it out yet
and you should do it before getting stuff to editing etc.That is what i would consider.
If you need i could post rename workflow i use. It is actually only finder rename action
in automator.—

I think it really depends also who is the client and if and what he / she sees from scopes etc.
I really like working with some clients siting there with me. Then again some i like to have
in the other side of town and only make spotting sessions from time to time.I think it really depends on your way with that exact client at least for me.
And yes there is this client falling a sleep problem 🙂

Probably there will be 5 k and 9 k cameras and we still need Mac Pros 🙂 with 64 cores.
I know i do.I see every day how some people use now canon for jobs that use to use film and editing on laptop.
Yes they can do it but outcome is peace of BS.Professional experience and talent will not come with cheap gear as we have seen with DV.
There will be just more bad stuff coming out.
Real businesses will still hire Pros i bet.
