I’m at Half Res Good, but the problem persists at Quarter Good as well… 10 or 8 bit doesn’t change anything either. Rocket is up to date on firmware too.

Sorry. This machine is Red Rocket, Deck Link, 460, Quattro, Atto SAS

  • Yea, the Mac Pro is under warranty and Apple begrudgingly offered to get me a new board… But I’m working on some non-Resolve stuff too and it is gonna take them over a week to get the computer back to me. So it’s an option, just not right at this second.

Quadro all by itself in slot #2 is the same: x1 PCIe lane.

I’ve got another MacPro 5.1 with a 4000 coming back to me on Tuesday, so I can then check slot #2 with that card and that computer with this 4000… Hopefully that will pin-point the problem.

I haven’t reset the NVRAM with only the Quadro in it, but I’ll give it a try.

  • No, it doesn’t follow the cables. The Quadro works x16 in slot 1 with both aux power connectors as does the ATI in slot 2.

  • Toby,

So in slots 3 and 4 the Quadro shows up as x4, with or without the decklink and ATTO in the other two slots and the ATI in slot 1…

  • No change with or without the ATTO or DeckLink in any combination therein. I haven’t tried putting the Quadro in slots 3 or 4… but I can try tomorrow. I guess that could provide some insight on the relationship between the ATI and the Quadro… Do I need to worry about overloading the x4 slot?

  • I cleared the NVRAM before (but with the other cards in) and it didn’t help. Just tried it again without anything but the ATI and still no luck.

Yea, they should come out of the Lut Generator as _davinci3d.dat . Did you select Davinci as the File Format?
