you can match soft returns with \3 so the modified code would be:
```
text.sourceText.value.replace(/\r|\3/g,"").length
```

maybe he’s using paragraph text so there aren’t any real line break characters, just visual breaks created by the box

Anything would be helpful/useful at this point. The problem is that I haven’t even made a dent in this lol. I thought about maybe using negative time to store previous selectorValues but that logically doesn’t make sense I don’t think.

ah thats unlucky, it’s so much harder to recreate what i want all within the expression selector rather than using a range selector as the driver lol

I did a bunch more experiments, mostly involving negative time.. still no luck

You can get super super close with the skew animator + rotation animator + position animator. For italics I honestly don’t think you need the real thing. But bold is a different story of course.
