Brown and tan contain a slight amount of green and tend to also catch the green reflection in the highlights.

Get some lights.
If it came back noisy you didnt have enough light. The HVX200 needs more light than the DVX100b. I have an HVX and have learned to NOT TRUST THE LCD OR VIEWFINDER. Shots that look well lit usually arent. The camera is not meant for shooting night interiors under available home lighting. Try using an external monitor to judge light levels, grain and focus.
There is a wealth of HVX/DVX information here. Barry Green (who wrote your HVX book) and Jan Crittenden a Panasonic Rep read/post here all the time.

make it in photoshop or illustrator and import it in with an alpha channel.
I suppose you could gang up a few layers in a comp with a circle and some lines etc, but the photoshop/illustrator method is much easier and will look much better. -
get ahold of the equipment
project a grid pattern. Distort grid pattern until it is nice and straight on the hemisphere. Then run all your stuff through that comp to distort it the exact same way. -
animate masks

dvcpro50 just has more color depth, It’s the same SD resolution. If you shot DVCPro HD then you would have high definition video.

i think someone posted a home brewed AE plugin they had written a few months ago that cartoonizes video. It wasn’t as accurate as the illustrator version but it works. Search the archives.
