I am trying to create an effect where I have a grid of lights, they are all off, then row by row they “Flash” on. It needs to work in 3-D space.

I tried importing the illustrator image of them -no good, no 3-D. stop.

Found CC BAll Action! Alright this gets me what I am looking for…wait how do I animate them on and off…could mask it out by hand….yuck must be a better way….

Particular? Grid with glow spheres? Looks good, but how do I animate them row by row on and off?

    Any suggestions?

    Thanx,

    C

Animate a solid that is the thickness of one row and have animate it’s position moving in the direction you want your lights to turn on. Pre-comp and apply Ball Action to the comp.
